Parents Check this page weekly! New information up 24 hours in advance.

Rehearsal 20 min. extra Feb. 2, to make up for missed rehearsal snow day.

Great start to Emperor's New Clothes!  Remember to memorize the scripts this week--not just your lines but the cues so you know when to say your line!  Also, remember no street shoes on the dance floor--kids, parents, siblings. Everyone, just slip shoes off when going on the dance floor. We need three rehearsal parent volunteers for Feb. 2--sign up with Asst. Director when check in. Get black shirts/leotard, pants/shorts early. (We have leotards that can be rented for $5, or get your own, sources listed under class attire.) There was a question about the costume deposit. We just hold those checks/cash--we do not deposit them. After the show we simply return your check if all costume pieces and scripts are returned in good condition.  The director will be showing kids body position and line delivery skills. Help your child realize that whatever the director tells one child probably applies to all children. She will not have time to work with each child individually--they need to learn from each other, so If you help your child learn to speak loudly, with an interesting voice, not dropping the ends of lines, etc. Your child will have that much more of a positive experience and the show will be that much better.  Kids will also develop better listening skills. Parents make such a big difference in how fast the kids understand the skills taught. Thanks for your help!

Delighted with the show thus far. Great cast! We're right on target.
