A+ Performing Arts Director, Mariann Adams, NCTM, has undergraduate degrees in both music and education, and is working on her graduate Masters Degree in Music and Drama Education with a Physical Activities and Health focus (dance). She has earned her National Certified Teacher of Music (NTCM) through the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA). She has 35 years of dance training and 30 years experience teaching. She was on State Champion gymnastics, drama, music, and dance teams. She danced with members of Ballet West, New York City Ballet, and San Francisco Ballet, toured the US, and, more recently, performed on Dish TV. Her students and/or children include 2002 Olympic Opening Ceremonies Salt Lake City, Oregon Music Teachers Association Level X pianists (highest level), State OMTA composition awards, East Oregon Symphony Young Artist Festival winners, and national performance tours. Her unique educational techniques allowed her children to graduate from college at ages 15, 16, 17 and 18. She has extensive musical theater choreography experience. She scripted, orchestrated and directed the Old Town San Diego LA Olympic Celebrations, and the Mayo Clinic Centennial Celebrations. Her two original CDs, created to comfort 9/11 and fallen heroes’ families, earned New York City FD commendation, US Armed Forces support, and the 2006 BYU Alumni Distinguished Service Award.... She, & the A+ Performing Arts staff, are delighted to serve you. |
